2025 ESC/EACTS valvular heart disease guideline
For selected symptomatic patients with severe ventricular secondary mitral regurgitation that persists despite optimized guideline-directed medical therapy, mitral transcatheter edge-to-edge repair is recommended when the clinical and echocardiographic selection criteria are met.
