2025 AHA/ACC high blood pressure guideline
For adults without clinical cardiovascular disease and with PREVENT 10-year risk below 7.5%, blood-pressure-lowering medication is recommended if average blood pressure remains at least 130/80 mmHg after a 3–6-month lifestyle trial.
